JESSICA S. FLUDD

Jessica S. Fludd, a native of Charleston, South Carolina, graduated from James Island High School.  She was awarded her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina.  Ms. Fludd received her Juris Doctorate from North Carolina Central University School of Law and was licensed by the North Carolina State Bar in 2007.  Ms. Fludd is a member of the 16th Judicial District Bar, having served on the Board, Durham County Parent Representation Bar, and is a member of the George H. White Bar Association, having co-chaired the association's Membership, Continuing Legal Education, and Holiday Adopt-A-Family committees.  Ms. Fludd shows her commitment to the legal community by mentoring young adults interested in pursuing a legal career, mentoring new attorneys and attorneys in transition.    

Ms. Fludd serves as Managing Partner of Fludd Stephens Law Office, PLLC and primarily focuses her practice areas on family law, representing parents in Abuse Neglect and Dependency matters, and misdemeanor criminal matters, to include traffic.  Ms. Fludd primarily practices in Durham, Orange and Chatham Counties, with limited appearances in Wake County.  Ms. Fludd is a seasoned litigator, having arguments while representing parents supported by the North Carolina Court of Appeals, resulting in overturned rulings based on her arguments.  Ms. Fludd serves each client zealously and with compassion and competence.

Ms. Fludd also serves the community of Durham.  In addition to volunteering with Durham Public Schools, Girl Scout Troop #83 located at Union Baptist Church, and Teen Court, Ms. Fludd hosts free workshops on custody and file-it-yourself absolute divorces.  Ms. Fludd partners with Durham County Sheriff's Department for the Department’s Stop the Violence Back to School event and the Department's Trunk of Treat initiative.  Ms. Fludd, through donations from the firm, supports a variety of charitable organizations and local athletics, to include Zafa Court #41, Order of the Eastern Star, Drucilla #19, Rogers Herr Middle School, Hillside High School, and Kind Kitchen Group.

Ms. Fludd enjoys spending time with family, traveling and event planning and decorating.

LiBria R. Stephens, a native of Minnesota, but raised in eastern North Carolina, graduated from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Ms. Stephens received her Juris Doctorate with honors from North Carolina Central University School of Law and was licensed by the North Carolina State Bar in 2007.  Ms. Stephens is a member of the 16th Judicial District Bar, Criminal Defense Bar, and is a member of the George H. White Bar Association, having co-chaired the association's Membership and continuing Legal Education committees.  Ms. Stephens serves the legal community by mentoring both young adults interested in pursuing a legal career and new attorneys.

Ms. Stephens serves as Managing Partner of Fludd Stephens Law Office, PLLC and focuses her practice areas on misdemeanor and felony criminal matters, estate matters and special proceeding matters.  Ms. Stephens primarily practices in Durham, Orange, and Vance Counties.    Ms. Stephens has negotiated and had jury trials in multiple jurisdictions and aims to serve each client zealously with compassion and competence.

Ms. Stephens also serves the community of Durham.  Ms. Stephens serves as an Executive Board member of Durham's Juvenile Crime Prevention Council and a Durham County Jury Commissioner.  Ms. Stephens is a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, PHA, Drucilla Chapter #19 and participates in food drives, clothing drives, and the mentoring of young girls.  Ms. Stephens hosts free workshops on wills and estates and the legitimation process.   Ms. Stephens also volunteers with Grace Ministries for its community food give-away program.

Ms. Stephens enjoys spending time with family, traveling and writing short stories. 

Kendra B. Simmons is a native of Henderson, North Carolina.  Ms. Simmons attended Vance County Schools in her formative years, graduating from Southern Vance High School.  Ms. Simmons received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, with a minor in English Writing, and a concentration in Law Enforcement from North Carolina Central University.  Ms. Simmons is a double Eagle in that she received her Juris Doctorate from North Carolina Central University School of Law and joined the North Carolina State Bar in 2024.  

Ms. Simmons hopes to expand on her criminal law experience and incorporate more family law in her practice areas.  Ms. Simmons joined Fludd Stephens Law Office, PLLC in 2026 as an Associate Attorney and hopes to impact the legal communities of Durham and Vance Counties.  Ms. Simmons is a member of the 16th Judicial District Bar, the Criminal Defense Bar, and a member of the George H. White Bar Association.  

Ms. Simmons provides support to the community she serves as a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Ms. Simmons, a former collegiate athlete, enjoys exercising and coaching Women’s Volleyball, and providing mentorship to other young athletes.
